Garbage, recyclables, and compost are collected every second Friday by Valley Waste Resource Management.

Know what goes where and when your collection day is, without having to call Town Hall.

Before you begin

    Check your biweekly Friday collection date on the Valley Waste calendar.

  2. 2

    Sort garbage, recyclables, and compost (green cart) according to Valley Waste guidelines.

  3. 3

    Drop electronics and batteries at the Lawrencetown Western Management Centre (343 Elliott Road).

Frequently asked questions

Where can I drop off yard waste?

The Town operates a leaf and yard waste drop-off at Public Works, 144 Victoria Street, open 7 days a week from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM.

Can I put electronics in my garbage?

No. Electronics and batteries are banned from regular garbage under Nova Scotia regulations. Drop them at the Lawrencetown Western Management Centre.
