About the Department

History

Established in 1811, the Annapolis Royal Volunteer Fire Department is one of the oldest continuously operating volunteer fire departments in Canada. Members serve the town and surrounding area.

For fire emergencies, call 911. The department is staffed by trained volunteers who respond to fire, rescue, and emergency calls.
